WVC SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Late Offensive Spurt Keys Wyoming Area

Wyoming Area and Dallas sat scoreless late into the afternoon before the host Warriors erupted. A seven-run sixth proved decisive in Wyoming Area’s 9-2 win.

Bri Pizzano had a pair of doubles and an RBI, while Kari Melbelger had three hits, including a double, and drove in two. Tinsley Sarnak had three hits, in addition to getting the win with six solid innings.

Evan Freeman also collected a pair of RBIs for the Warriors.

Lyndsey Hornlein and Kaci Hockenberry both drove in runs for Dallas in the seventh inning.
