Pit bull attacks 9-year-old boy, Havasu Police say

A pit bull attack left a 9-year-old Lake Havasu City boy needing stitches on Sunday afternoon.

Lake Havasu City Police say the boy was bitten in the right forearm and left shoulder by a dog in the 3400 block of Cinnamon Drive. The pit bull belong to a neighbor, police said.

The boy was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he received stitches.

The city’s animal control officers are investigating the incident, and the dog will likely be quarantined as a routine part of the investigation, police said.
