AP is moving election test reports for the November 6, (Wyoming) general election starting on Monday, October 8:

Mondays from 1-3 p.m. EDT, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT (two hours) and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-3 p.m. EDT, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT (four hours).

Last election test is on Monday, Nov. 5 from 11-3 p.m. EST, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. MST (four hours). No winners will be called during the last test.

COAL COMPANY BANKRUPTCY

HELENA, Mont. — One of the oldest coal companies in the U.S. filed for bankruptcy protection Tuesday to deal with more than $1.4 billion in debt amid declining demand for the fuel. Englewood, Colorado-based Westmoreland Coal Co. filed for voluntary Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston as part of a restructuring agreement with an unnamed group of lenders. DROUGHT-COLORADO RIVER

DENVER — Seven Southwestern U.S. states that depend on the overtaxed Colorado River say they have reached tentative agreements on how to manage the waterway amid an unprecedented drought. The plans announced Tuesday were a milestone for the river, which supports 40 million people and 6,300 square miles (16,300 square kilometers) of farmland in the U.S. and Mexico. By Steve Paulson. — MOTORCYCLE FATALS — A motorcycle collided with a car in northeast Wyoming, killing the drivers of both vehicles. The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. 16 near Moorcroft in Crook County.

LARAMIE — Wyoming hasn’t had a problem running the ball with Nico Evans. The Cowboys’ senior running back has gashed defenses when he’s been on the field. Of the four games Evans has played — he missed two with bruised ribs — he’s rushed for at least 140 yards in three of them while his 7.8 yards per carry is tops in the Mountain West.
