Stellus Capital: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
HOUSTON (AP) _ Stellus Capital Investment Corp. (SCM) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $7.6 million.
The Houston-based company said it had net income of 48 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 30 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 31 cents per share.
The investment company posted revenue of $12.6 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $12.2 million.
Stellus Capital shares have climbed 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped roughly 3 percent in the last 12 months.
