COMSTOCK, Neb. (AP) _ Country music _ and 40 windmills _ will highlight the Comstock Windmill Festival, which runs Thursday through Sunday.

Brad Paisley, Sara Evans and the Oak Ridge Boys are among those scheduled to perform. The festival, about 25 miles northeast of Broken Bow, also will include bluegrass, alternative rock and gospel music.

Some 4,000 people are expected at the festival, now in its second year.

``We want to preserve the history of windmills as well as develop tourism,″ said Henry Nuxoll, who helped create the event. ``This sort of festival keeps our small towns on the map.″

The central Nebraska town of Comstock has a population of 110.
