MILFORD — Police are still hoping the public can help them identify a suspect accused of an armed robbery more than two years ago.

Detectives continue to investigate the armed robbery, which happened around 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016. The suspect allegedly approached two men in the rear parking lot of People’s United Bank on Broad Street and demanded money.

Police described the suspect as 5 feet 7 inches tall black man with a thin build. At the time of the crime, police said the suspect was wearing a white shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers.

“The suspect showed the males a pistol that was concealed in his pocket,” police said. “After the suspect received the money, he fled the scene on foot. Surveillance footage shows the male possibly getting into an older model, green four-door sedan in front of the bank.”

Police believe the suspect saw one of the male victims make a bank transaction and waited for him in the parking lot.
