FOOTBALL: Week Six scores and results

Coal City 21, Sandwich 0

Asa Cooper caught two touchdowns, including an 81-yard score, and finished the game with five receptions for 123 yards He also had three interceptions in the Coalers’ 21-0 victory against Sandwich.

Payton Hutchings was 11-for-22 for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Cade McKinney had two catches for 32 yards and a touchdown.

Manteno 29, Streator 12

The Panthers broke open a 15-9 game through three quarters to run away with their first win of the season. Davey Wurster had 19 carries for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

Anthony Lopez had five carries for 31 yards and a touchdown and also had seven receptions for 54 yards. Caleb Borkenhagen went 9-for-17 for 125 yards and a touchdown, which came on a 70-yard strike to Tyler Irvin.

Lisle 24, Reed-Custer 21 (OT)

The Comets held a 21-7 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Lions came back to force overtime and won on a field goal after holding the Comets scoreless.

Josh Loomis threw three touchdowns for the Comets. A.J. Cherry caught two of those touchdowns while Nick Mitchell also caught a touchdown pass.

Seneca 42, Iroquois West 14

Nolan Ahlden had 22 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown for the Raiders, while adding 16 total tackles on defense.

Tibaldo Alvarez went 3-for-5 for 38 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Ryan Brenner had two catches for 25 yards and a touchdown.

Dwight 21, Momence 20

Momence scored on a Kobey Mazur to Jhett Anderson touchdown pass with one second remaining, but failed to convert the ensuing two-point conversion.

Mazur finished 26-for-43 for 260 yards and two touchdowns while adding 76 rushing yards on 10 carries. Austin Kinz had four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Anderson had two catches for 16 yards and a touchdown. D’Juan Crumbley ran for a six-yard touchdown. Grant Laney had six catches for 64 yards.

Metea Valley 28, Bradley-Bourbonnais 21

The Boilers held a 21-7 halftime lead but were shut out in the second half.
