Planning commission recommends zoning change for new bank facility

August 24, 2018

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Planning Commission recommended a zoning change that would make for a new bank facility.

During Tuesday’s meeting, Jason Love representing Midwest Bank told commissioners they’re requesting a change from agricultural to service commercial on property located at the southwest corner of Highway 275 and South 25th Street.

“We have 13 acres down there, and we are looking at developing the land and putting a bank on the corner of it. We’ll also have some land available after the development to sell some lots” Love said.

A number of commissioners expressed support with the change saying the area around the proposed bank is already commercial zoning.

The commissioners voted unanimously to recommend the zoning change.
