We say ‘thank you’ with Senior Fair
Various studies have shown that senior citizens are among America’s most devoted newspaper readers.
We, at the Daily Journal, appreciate all of our readers, and give a special tip of the hat to the many seniors who have subscribed to the newspaper for 30, 40 and even 50 years.
One of the ways we show appreciation for the loyal support is to host special events for subscribers and readers in general.
The most popular of these events for the seniors comes again on Thursday when the annual Senior Fair will be presented by the Daily Journal from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Kankakee.
A number of matters important to seniors will be covered at the fair, including seminars, health screenings and identity theft prevention, among others. Lunch also will be served, and a Senior Citizen of the Year and a Senior Citizen Service Provider of the Year will be honored.
The day will end with a performance by Olivet Nazarene University’s jazz combo and the distribution of door prizes.
So, let us further say, “Thank you’’ for your support by paying a visit to Senior Fair.
Hope to see you there.
