SAN DIEGO (AP) _ The San Diego Chargers will keep another of their unrestricted free agents, agreeing Friday to a one-year contract with defensive end Al Fontenot.

Financial terms were not immediately available.

A seven-year veteran, Fontenot started 15 games last season and had five sacks and 34 tackles. He joined the Chargers as an unrestricted free agent from Indianapolis.

Fontenot is the fifth unrestricted free agent to remain with the Chargers. The others are tackle Vaughn Parker, wide receiver Jeff Graham, center Roman Fortin, deep snapper David Binn and punter Darren Bennett.
