WASHINGTON _ Three Democratic senators are calling on President’s Donald Trump’s nominee for U.N. ambassador to clarify that she will put U.S. interests ahead of her own financial interests when it comes to climate change. The Democrats say Kelly Craft, who was nominated as U.S. ambassador to the U.N. last week, has invested more than $60 million in oil companies and other fossil fuel interests. BOATS CAPSIZE _ An autopsy confirmed drowning as the cause of death for a Missouri fisherman whose boat capsized on a Montana lake during a spring snowstorm. Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton tells the Independent Record the April 28 death of 63-year-old Craig Bristle of Pacific, Missouri, is considered accidental.

MONTANA-TROUBLED TEENS _ Montana’s governor has signed two bills aimed at protecting youth in residential treatment programs. Gov. Steve Bullock signed a bill Friday to move oversight of private residential treatment programs to the state health department rather than a board that includes treatment program owners.

ELECTION 2020-MONTANA ATTORNEY GENERAL _ Raph Graybill, the chief legal counsel for Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, is running for the Democratic nomination for attorney general.

TRUMP-INTERIOR-WALLACE _ President Donald J. Trump has nominated a Wyoming man to be assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks at the U.S. Interior Department.
