NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL wants to find out if the Seattle Seahawks followed proper concussion protocol with quarterback Russell Wilson. An NFL spokesman says the league is conducting a “thorough review” of whether the Seahawks followed the protocols when Wilson was sent off the field after a hit in the third quarter of Seattle’s 22-16 win over Arizona. Wilson was in Seattle’s injury tent for only a few moments and missed just one play.

NEW YORK (AP) — Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has been fined $42,541 by the NFL for fighting with Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey last Sunday. Green grabbed Ramsey around the neck from behind and took him to the turf while throwing punches at him late in the first half of the Jaguars’ 23-7 victory. Green was docked for fighting and for unsportsmanlike conduct. Ramsey was not fined by the league.

CHICAGO (AP) — The 2020 NBA All-Star Game will be in Chicago, The city will host the showcase event for the first time since 1988, when Michael Jordan took off from the foul line in an epic dunk contest and delivered an MVP performance in the game. Commissioner Adam Silver, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Bulls executives Michael Reinsdorf and John Paxson were on hand for today’s announcement on the United Center floor.

UNDATED (AP) — Arizona assistant basketball coach Mark Phelps has been suspended for five days without pay and senior Keanu Pinder will not play in the third-ranked Wildcats’ opener against Northern Arizona for violating NCAA rules. The school did not specify what rules Phelps and Pinder violated, but a university release said Phelps’ suspension is unrelated to an ongoing investigation into recruiting practices.

PHOENIX (AP) — Defending champion Paul Goydos and major winners Vijay Singh and Lee Janzen shot 7-under 64 on Friday to share the first-round lead in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Bernhard Langer, trying to sweep the PGA Tour Champions’ three playoff events and win the Charles Schwab Cup season points title for the fourth straight year and fifth overall, was tied for 28th at even-par 71 at tree-lined Phoenix Country Club.
