Lady Aces golf defeat Vincennes Lincoln, improve to 15-0
MOUNT CARMEL -- Winning yet again, the Mount Carmel Lady Aces golf team defeated Vincennes Lincoln this time, improving to 15-0 on the season on Wednesday at the Mt. Carmel Municipal Golf Course.
It was a close affair between the two teams on the par 36 course -- the Aces finished with a team total of 189 in contrast to Vincennes’ 194.
For the Aces, freshman Daisy Schrader completed her day with a 44, tying for medalist honors with Vincennes’ Natalie Kirchoff.
Not far behind was junior Allyson Armstrong with her score of 45, just one stroke behind Schrader and Kirchoff and second on the team.
Fellow junior Faith Witsman finished just one stroke behind Armstrong, capping her day at a 46.
Lastly, sophomore Maya Smith rounded it out for the Aces, finishing with a 54.
The match marked their third match of the week, all victories thus far for the undefeated Lady Aces, a truly impressive feat. They will look to finish their week and keep their record unscathed as they travel to Mount Vernon, Ind. for a triangular match at 4:30 p.m. today (Aug. 30).
