Man Arrested After Crashing Car Into Capitol Barrier
WASHINGTON (AP) _ A 27-year-old man was arrested as he ran screaming toward the Capitol on Friday after he crashed his small car into a large concrete flower pot barrier near the building, police said.
Norman Lober Jr. of Farifax, Va., was charged with one count of injury to government property. The charge is punishable by a maximum $500 fine and six months in jail.
He drove his car over the curb at and rammed into the flower pot-shaped barrier near the Senate side of the Capitol, said Capitol Police spokesman Dan Nichols.
