Mississippi school bus gets stuck by big, muddy pot hole
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Some Mississippi students were delayed getting to school because a tire on their bus got stuck in a big pot hole filled with muddy water.
It happened Thursday in Jackson.
WLBT-TV showed photos of the bus, with almost half of the driver’s side front tire submerged in the hole.
Jackson Public Schools said in a statement that the bus was carrying 22 students and nobody was hurt. A utility truck pulled the bus from the hole, and the bus took the students to Lanier High School.
Dominique Womack says her daughter was aboard the bus and “these pot holes are just terrible here.”
Womack says her son told her a school bus got stuck in the same spot last year.
