The swimming area at Kettletown State Park remains closed, hitting the two week mark.
State officials closed the beach to swimming on Aug. 3 when a blue-green algae bloom appeared.
The blue-green algae blooms, or cyanobacteria, can produce a toxin that can be harmful for people and pets. Kidney problems can arise if the toxin is swallowed.
Recent blooms at Kettletown and other swimming areas along Lake Zoar have tested above the federal limit for toxins.
