Media Participates in Demonstrating Non-Lethal and Non-Painful Restraint

LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / August 28, 2018 / Wrap Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: WRTC), an innovator of modern policing solutions, announced today details of a product demonstration hosted by Westminster California Police Department at their local training center.

In addition to the Westminster Police Department other agencies attending the demonstration were the Newport Beach Police Department, Tustin Police Department, La Habra Police Department and Fountain Valley Police Department. The hand-held BolaWrap 100 is an early engagement tool intended to reduce the need and frequency for pain-inflicting or injurious use of force. It was designed alongside law enforcement with a focus on the complex problem of response to resistance of those in mental crisis, or the mentally ill.

Members of local television media participated by both deploying the BolaWrap 100 and being subject to non-lethal and non-painful restraint as remarked in their broadcast reports:

KTLA 5 Los Angeles - https://ktla.com/2018/08/22/police-test-out-new-non-lethal-weapon-in-westminster/

''We thank Chief Ralph Ornelas for hosting the demonstration and taking the time to engage with local media detailing his department's plans to further evaluate our new solution,'' said David Norris, President of Wrap Technologies. ''These events provide important agency and community feedback as we prepare to rollout the BolaWrap 100 nationally and in select international markets in the coming months.''
