NEW YORK (AP) _ Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jaromir Jagr is the NHL’s player of the week after leading the Penguins to a 3-1 record with three goals and seven assists in four games.

Jagr edged Calgary Flames forward Theoren Fleury (three goals, four assists in two games), Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Arturs Irbe (3-0-0, 1.97 GAA) and Colorado Avalanche goaltender Patrick Roy (3-0-0, 1.67 GAA) to earn his second player of the week award.

Jagr, 26, had four-point games twice, with three assists and a shorthanded goal against Toronto on Thursday and two goals and two assists against Montreal on Sunday.
