CLEVELAND, Ohio – Seventeen more stores are opening in June at Pinecrest, the new $230 million mixed-use project in Orange Village east of Cleveland.
Stores, restaurants and other venues started opening in May at the development at Harvard Road and I-271 and will continue through September.
New York City’s famous burger stand Shake Shack opens its first location in Ohio on Thursday. The restaurant offers burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, shakes and more, including beer and wine.
“We are always in search of distinctive community gathering places,” said Zach Koff, chief operations officer. “Pinecrest is a bustling retail destination to bring our modern roadside burger stand. We’re excited to join the Cleveland community and provide a fun place to come together with family and friends.”
On Friday, Pottery Barn will open at the shopping center. The retailer says the store is designed to make shopping a source of inspiration for customers. The store is expected to offer decorating ideas for every room in the house, as well as complimentary in-home design services.
The mixed-use project features more first-to-market venues such as the luxury movie theater Silverspot Cinemas, outdoor retailer REI, furniture store West Elm, the European-inspired AC Hotel by Marriott and City Works Eatery and Pour House.
Silverspot is scheduled to open June 22. Silverspot representatives said what differentiates them from AMC, Cinemark and Regal, is that they focus on a “customer-centric” experience. The theatre has a full bar and restaurant and customers can reserve their seats and order all refreshments ahead of time. When customers arrive, they’ll be served at their seats. But unlike other theaters which serve to seated customers, Silverspot won’t serve once the movie has begun.
The Naples, Florida- based company, has three locations in Florida - Naples, Miami and Coconut Creek. The company also has location in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Pinecrest will be its first location in the Great Lakes region, but plans to open new locations in suburban Atlanta and Brookfield, Wisconsin, in 2019.
REI and West Elm are open now. Also opening Thursday are Vineyard Vines, Laura of Pembroke, Graeter’s Ice Cream and Club Pilates.
Other stores opening Friday include Williams-Sonoma, Bibibop Asian Grill and Verizon. Saturday, Scout and Molly’s Boutique and Apricot Lane will open. City Works opens June 15. On June 18, Firebirds, Firstwatch, and Vernacular opens. Sweeties Big Fun opens in late June.
