Holyoke police probe city’s 2nd homicide of 2014
HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) — Police continue to investigate a weekend shooting that left a Holyoke man dead.
Investigators say the 31-year-old victim was shot just after 2 a.m. Saturday outside a city social club.
His name has not been made public.
There have been no arrests but Lt. James Albert says there are some leads. A witness told police that the victim was involved in some sort of altercation just before the shooting.
The victim was taken to the hospital by a friend. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
It as the city’s second homicide of the year.
