Sandra Wendt, 71, Beaver Dam

Sandra Kay Wendt, 71, Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018.

Sandra was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Randolph, Columbia County, the daughter of George and Jeanette (White) Gove. She grew up in Randolph and worked as a CNA at various nursing homes in the area for most of her life. In her free time, Sandra cherished her time with her grandchildren and truly enjoyed being a foxy card player who would defeat most opponents. Euchre, sheepshead and cribbage were her specialties. Sandra was also known as a wonderful cook to her family.

Sandra will be sadly missed and mourned by her children, Sean Carrick and Shannon Carrick, both of Beaver Dam, Shelly Feldbruegge of Poynette and Shane (Danielle) Carrick of Billings, Montana; six grandchildren; her siblings, Carolyn Flegner of Wautoma, Patricia Huizenga of Randolph, Charles (Phyllis) Gove of Randolph, Joan (Vernon) Selk of Randolph, Jeanette (Harry Manning) Wendt of Beaver Dam, George (Joanne) Gove of Amarillo, Texas, and Vern (Jan) Gove of Portage; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dennis Carrick; her second husband, Michael Wendt; one grandson, Michael James Feldbruegge on Aug. 8, 2018; two brothers-in-law, Alvin Flegner and Anthony Huizenga.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria. Relatives and friends may call on the family Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
