Patriots Sign Free Agent Parker
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ The New England Patriots signed free agent defensive tackle Riddick Parker on Tuesday.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The 28-year-old started all 16 games for the Seattle Seahawks last season, finishing with a career-high 48 tackles. He had a career-high nine tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 29, 2000.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 275-pounder has 76 career tackles (49 solo) in four seasons. He also has three career sacks and two forced fumbles.
Parker signed with the San Diego Chargers as a non-drafted rookie free agent in 1995. He signed with the Seahawks in 1996 and spent the season as a member of the team’s practice squad.
