Ludington City Council OKs city manager contract, marijuana committee
The Ludington City Council on Monday approved the contract with Mitch Foster to be the new, permanent city manager.
Foster, a 30-year-old formerly of Scottville, is expected to give his 30-day notice to the Village of Winneconne, Wisconsin. He will continue his current role as Winneconne administrator until the end of the 30 days, and is expected to start as the Ludington city manager on March 18.
Foster’s city manager contract is for an initial three years, and it would automatically extend by one year unless he resigns or the council terminates his employment, which can be done immediately or by not renewing his contract.
Foster’s contract is for an annual salary of $97,500 ...
The council also approved forming an ad hoc Recreational Marijuana Committee to investigate the possible positives and negatives of permitting recreational marijuana businesses within Ludington city limits.
