St. Joseph’s 67, Old Dominion 53

PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Bob Haskins scored 18 points and Harold Rasul had 12 points and 16 rebounds as St. Joseph’s defeated Old Dominion 67-53 Saturday night.

Mike Byers had 20 points and Reggie Bassette 10 for Old Dominion (3-3).

St. Joseph’s (2-1) forced 20 turnovers and held the Monarchs to 18-of-51 shooting, or 35 percent. The Hawks turned the ball over six times.

St. Joseph’s led 30-26 at halftime and led by 10 before Old Dominion rallied to 43-39 with 10:06 to play. The Hawks went on a 11-5 run on a jumper by Rasul, to take a 54-44 advantage, and Old Dominion never again got closer than 10 points.

Old Dominion jumped to a 16-6 lead in the first half as St. Joseph’s connected for three of its first 16 shots. But the Hawks came back with a 14-2 run before the half.
