Police seek 3 suspects in beating death of man in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Sacramento police are seeking three suspects in connection with the killing of a man who was brutally beaten and died three days later at a hospital.
The Sacramento Police Department said in a statement Monday that the man had been walking June 19 on a street in south Sacramento when he was assaulted by three men.
It says the man had multiple facial fractures and lost consciousness. He drove himself to a hospital on June 20, when police first learned of the assault and began an investigation.
The department says the man died at the hospital Sunday.
Officials say witnesses described the aggressors as males believed to be in their 20s.
Police say the victim’s identity will be released by the coroner’s office once his family is notified.
