Coroner: 2 killed in Joliet driveway shootings
JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — A shooting in Joliet has left two people dead.
The Will County coroner says a teenage boy and a man were killed in a shooting Tuesday evening. The coroner says 17-year-old Tariq J. Purnell of Joliet and 30-year-old Keon D. Kelly of Lockport died in the shooting. Autopsies were scheduled for Wednesday.
Purnell was pronounced dead at the scene. Kelly died at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Deputy Chief Al Roechner says the victims were outside in a driveway when the shootings happened. Police say a third man was wounded.
