Reno babysitter gets 7 years prison for child porn

December 19, 2018

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 27-year-old Reno man who sought babysitting jobs with families with young girls so he could potentially exploit them has been sentenced to seven years in prison on child pornography charges.

U.S. District Judge Robert Jones also ordered Aaron Quackenbush at Wednesday’s sentencing to register as a sex offender and be placed on probation for life following his release from prison.

Quackenbush pleaded guilty earlier to charges accusing him of receiving more than 5,000 images of child pornography.

Prosecutors say he admitted to federal agents who linked him to two IP addresses that he had downloaded videos and photos of child porn for 12 years.

The agents say he deleted a Twitter application and child porn files from his cellphone, but they were able to restore the files and dialogue regarding his desire to babysit young girls.
