Cell phone usage in people of all ages increasing according to new survey
SALT LAKE CITY - Cell phones can do just about anything nowadays which in turn increases people’s usage and reliability on them.
A new survey of 200 men and women between the ages of 18 and 54+ conducted by Reviews.Org shows some statistics about how addicted people have become to their cell phone.
Content Writer Mindy Woodall says 76.5% consider themselves addicted with 62% checking their phone up to 160 times per day.
Woodall says there was also a dangerous statistic that she thought was really high.
“54.5% of people said they look at their phone while driving. Kind of an interesting fact is that 59% of men admitted to it compared to 51% of women.”
Woodall says 91.5% of people feel uneasy leaving their phone at home. When asked how uneasy they feel, 38% of women said they feel extremely uneasy versus 31% of men.
