Ceridian: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Ceridian HCM Holding Inc. (CDAY) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $6.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Minneapolis-based company said it had profit of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 12 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 7 cents per share.
The provider of human-resources software and services posted revenue of $196.3 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $192 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Ceridian said it expects revenue in the range of $195 million to $197 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $810 million to $815 million.
Ceridian shares have risen 50% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $51.74, an increase of 61% in the last 12 months.
