James Conner, Isaiah Crowell among fantasy stars in Week 5 early slate
It hasn’t been a high-scoring week around the NFL to this point, whether you’re talking about game scores or fantasy football output. In fact, the five players on this list come from just three teams.
Here is a sampling of Week 5′s best fantasy performers from the 1 p.m. slate of games. (All point totals are based off ESPN’s standard PPR scoring, with one point per reception.)
James Conner, RB, Steelers: 34.5 points
Le’Veon who? Pittsburgh got a load of production out of their supposed replacement for Bell on Sunday. Conner finished with 21 carries for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He addd 75 receiving yards on four receptions.
Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants: 31.4 points
What a long day of Beckham-related news. An interview he did with ESPN’s Josina Anderson (and Lil Wayne, for some reason) aired Sunday morning, in which hecriticizedhis team for not throwing deep more often. So it looks like he took matters into his own hands bythrowinga 57-yard touchdown to Saquon Barkley on a trick play.
Beckham also finished with eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown, but the Giants still lost 33-31 on a booming 63-yard field goal by Graham Gano (who never managed to do that when playing for the Redskins).
Isaiah Crowell, RB, Jets: 30.1 points
It’s rare to find the New York Jets on a list like this, but Crowell earned it. He set New York’s franchise record for rushing yards in a game with 219, including this hard-working 77-yard touchdown:

Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: 28.1 points
Like Beckham, Brown is a familiar face on fantasy stars lists. Six catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns is just another day at the office for the league’s best receiver. Watch him catch this perfectly-placed ball from Ben Roethlisberger:

Robby Anderson, WR, Jets: 27.3 points
Anderson had not gained more than 41 yards in a game this season entering Sunday. He beat that total on this play alone:

He caught a second touchdown here before halftime on his way to a 123-yard game:
