Port Adelaide into last 4 in Aussie Rules football

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Port Adelaide came from 31 points down late in the second quarter to beat Fremantle 15.15 (105) to 11.17 (83) and advance to the final four in the Australian Football League finals series.

Robbie Gray booted four third-quarter goals to help Port Adelaide’s comeback, and Ollie Wines kicked two in the fourth for the winners.

Port will play defending champion Hawthorn in one preliminary final next Saturday, with the winner advancing to the grand final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sept. 27.

North Melbourne advanced to its first preliminary final since 2007 after upsetting Geelong 14.14 (98) to 13.14 (92) on Friday. North Melbourne will play the Sydney Swans next Friday in Sydney.

Sydney and Hawthorn won first-round matches to advance straight to the preliminary finals.
