TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) _ Shondra Johnson made four free throws in the final 1:06 to lift Alabama to a 72-68 upset over No. 7 LSU, snapping the Tigers’ eight-game winning streak.

LSU (18-4 overall, 7-2 Southeastern Conference) hasn’t won at Tuscaloosa since 1986, a streak of eight straight losses.

Johnson finished with 19 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for the Tide (14-8, 4-5 SEC). Allen, LaNisha Cartwell and Boo Barnes chipped in 10 points apiece.

Marie Ferdinand led LSU with 21 points. Katrina Hibbert scored 18, White had 15 points and 10 rebounds and April Brown finished with 10 points.

Alabama trailed almost the entire game and by five with under five minutes to play. The Crimson Tide tied it at 66 on Taquilla Allen’s 3-pointer with 2:00 to play, LSU’s DeTrina White turned the ball over on the Tigers’ next possession and Johnson was fouled. She made both free throws to give Alabama a 70-68 lead with 1:06 to play.

After an LSU miss, the Tigers had to foul Johnson with 11 seconds to play and she made both free throws.
