Watertown library has more than just books

Staff WriterMay 26, 2019

The Watertown Public Library offers other items to patrons outside of the traditional print resources.

For the would-be musicians, the library has three ukuleles. Each instrument comes with a tuner and two books of sheet music.

For the winter weather outdoorsmen, the library provides snowshoes. There are four different sizes, based on the person’s weight, and each comes with a set of trekking poles.

For children, there are 10 different American Girl Dolls, including Julie, Josefina and Kaya. Each doll comes with a book about them.

Other items people can find at the library include WiFi hot spots, yard games, a microscope, projector and screen, and several different STEM toy kits.

The checkout period varies among items.

For any questions about how long one can keep the item, visit the library circulation desk or call 920-262-4090. Some of them may be put on hold, but others are on a first come, first served basis. All of these items need to be picked up and returned at the Watertown Public Library. They do not go on the delivery van to other libraries in the Bridges System.
