After missing two first-half attempts, the league’s leading scorer made a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter before hitting the game-winner in the final period.
Barcelona had a final chance to win, but Teddy Garcia missed a 47-yard field goal attempt with 10 seconds left.
Orlando (8-2) took a 7-0 lead when Scott Mitchell threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Joe Howard-Johnson with 11:31 remaining in the first half.
The Dragons (5-5) answered when Demetrius Davis caught a 33-yarder from Scott Erney three minutes later. The touchdown ended Barcelona’s nine-quarter scoreless streak.
The Thunder, North American East champion, will host a playoff game next week against a yet-to-be determined opponent. Barcelona, the European champion, will play the winner of Saturday’s San Antonio-Sacramento game.
