SAFE INJECTION SITES-DENVER
DENVER — Despite federal opposition, Denver is trying again to open a supervised drug injection site to try to reduce the number of people killed by drug overdoses. On Monday, city councilors voted 12-1 to pass a measure that would allow one site to open in the city for at least two years under a pilot program aimed at reducing the death toll fueled by the nation’s opioid epidemic.
