Lake Havasu City CVB is officially ‘Go Lake Havasu’

January 5, 2019

The Lake Havasu City Convention and Visitors Bureau has officially transitioned to its new name, Go Lake Havasu.

“Convention and visitor bureaus across the nation have been transitioning into shorter and more inspiring names,” said Terence Concannon, president/CEO of the Go Lake Havasu tourism bureau, in a news release. “For us, Go Lake Havasu made perfect sense. Besides being the name of our website, the word ‘Go’ truly reflects Lake Havasu and the wide range of activities for which we’re known, like boating, fishing, racing, hiking, and offroading.”

The Lake Havasu City Visitors and Convention Bureau was incorporated as non-profit in 1995, and shortly after changed its official name to the Lake Havasu Tourism Bureau, Inc., which will continue to be the official legal name. However, the bureau has conducted business as the Lake Havasu City Convention and Visitors Bureau since 2003, and now will be referred to as Go Lake Havasu. The bureau operates under a contract with the City of Lake Havasu City to provide tourism marketing services.
