Dominican Rapper Dies in Car Crash
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) _ A founding member of the Dominican rap group Sandy y Papo has died in car accident.
Police said Monday that Luis Ernesto Dechamps, 23, who was known as ``Papo,″ was driving to Santo Domingo’s airport with three friends when he slid off a wet road and hit a tree.
Dechamps’ three companions were treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released, said his uncle, Julio Paulino.
Sandy y Papo was working on its third album and was about to begin a tour of Venezuela and Spain.
