October 6, 2013

AMSTERDAM (AP) — PSV Eindhoven beat Waalwijk 2-1 Sunday to stay in second place in the Dutch league, while Ajax is third after beating FC Utrecht 3-0.

Jurgen Locadia secured the win in the 89th minute for PSV, after Ola Toivonen’s opener had been canceled out by Robert Braber.

Ajax relied on goals from youngsters Thulani Serero, Davy Klaassen and Danny Hoesen to sit a point behind PSV and Twente, which leads on goal difference after beating Cambuur 1-0 on Friday.

For Ajax, it was its first win over midtable Utrecht in seven meetings.

A match between ADO Den Haag and SC Heerenveen was canceled due to poor field conditions in The Hague.
