Letter: Being an ‘inclusive community’ is something to be proud of
Today I noticed a metal street sign on a stoplight as one comes into downtown on Broadway, and it reads, “We are an inclusive community.” I’ve thought about that a lot today and what a wonderful motto to welcome people to our town and state. This is something to be proud of and I hope a daily reminder to our citizens.
Our diversity makes us interesting and rich in culture. We can and should speak up and stand for what is right: love one another, equality, human rights and the inclusivity that we all desire.
