Duke’s Bagley to miss Ga. Tech game with mild knee sprain
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Duke says forward Marvin Bagley III will miss Sunday’s game at Georgia Tech with a mild right knee sprain.
Team spokesman Mike DeGeorge announced Bagley’s injury status about 6½ hours before tipoff, describing the move as precautionary.
The freshman leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with averages of 21.2 points and 11.4 rebounds for the ninth-ranked Blue Devils (19-5, 7-4). He was hurt in the first half of a loss at No. 21 North Carolina on Thursday night, but played 39 minutes in that game with 15 points and 16 rebounds.
