Lady Vols’ Jackson Out With Injury
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Tennessee forward Gwen Jackson separated her left shoulder and will miss the Lady Vols’ game Tuesday against No. 18 Texas.
Jackson will undergo an MRI exam Tuesday to determine if there is further damage. She injured her shoulder in No. 3 Tennessee’s 52-50 win at Georgia on Sunday.
Team officials didn’t know when she will be able to return to the court. Following Texas, the Lady Vols (20-2) next face Mississippi State on Thursday and No. 6 Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Jackson has started 16 games this season, averaging 10.8 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.
