James “Mac” J. McIntosh, 71, of St. Edward, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Bryan Medical Center-East Campus in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at United Methodist Church in St. Edward, with the Rev. Vernon Olson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 27, at the church.

James “Mac” Jay McIntosh, son of Gerald Leroy and Vaun Marie (Beers) McIntosh, was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Eureka, California. Jim graduated from St. Edward High School in 1965.

Jim was united in marriage to Anna Marie Travers on Aug. 23, 1969, in Fullerton. The couple has always lived in the St. Edward area. Jim worked at Behlen Manufacturing in Columbus, for 40 years. He enjoyed working on the family farm with his parents, and doing custom farm work. Jim always said he had to work at Behlens in order to support his farming habit.

Jim enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his friends and family — especially his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Anna McIntosh of St. Edward; son, Scott (Alicia) McIntosh of Wayne; daughter, Lori (Kevin Miller) McIntosh of St. Edward; seven grandchildren: Justin, Kaylei, Will, Dexter, Izzy, Lil’ Dude, and Pepper Sprout; sister, Mary Schmidt of Columbus; brothers-in-law: Floyd Steinbach of Fullerton, Terry (Louise) Travers of Omaha, Matt (Marsha) Travers of Florida, Tim (Jacki) Travers of Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Jane (Karl) Dailey of Chadron and Holly (Louie) Zimmer of Fullerton; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Lois Travers; father-in-law, Ted Travers; twin sister, Janet Steinbach; sisters, Carol McIntosh and Loreen Swanson; brother-in-law, Roy Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Valerie Travers.
