AMSTERDAM (AP) — Kolbeinn Sigthorsson scored twice as Ajax came from behind to beat Feyenoord 2-1 in Amsterdam on Sunday.

Feyenoord has now lost its first three matches, its worst ever start to a season.

The match began well for the Rotterdam team, with Graziano Pelle scoring in the sixth minute. But Ajax was awarded a penalty after a half-hour of play, which Sigthorsson converted.

Six minutes later Sigthorsson headed in the winner.

Ajax coach Frank de Boer said his team deserved to win, but his players appeared tired in the second half due to national matches earlier in the week.

On Saturday PSV Eindhoven beat Deventer's Go Ahead Eagles 3-0 to remain top of the overall standings.
