SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A recently released Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services report sheds more light on why the agency earlier this month warned the Rosebud Indian Health Service hospital to fix problems or lose critical funding. The inspection determined the hospital didn't give patients appropriate medical care or ensure their safety. RAPID CITY, S.D. — A group of landowners is suing a South Dakota utility and a Minnesota-based telephone company for alleged negligence in the third-largest wildfire in the Black Hills region's history. Investigators say last December's Legion Lake fire began when a tree fell onto a power line in Custer State Park.
