Teleflex: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
WAYNE, Pa. (AP) _ Teleflex Inc. (TFX) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $2.5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Wayne, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.47 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.41 per share.
The medical equipment maker posted revenue of $609.9 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $617.2 million.
Teleflex expects full-year earnings in the range of $9.70 to $9.90 per share.
Teleflex shares have climbed nearly 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 32 percent in the last 12 months.
