Indiana officials to convene 2-day arts ‘homecoming’
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Indiana is holding a 2-day conference for artists from across the state.
The 2018 Indiana Arts Homecoming will be held Oct. 18 and 19 in Fort Wayne.
The conference will feature more than 30 learning sessions focused on ways to improve a community’s vibrancy through art.
State officials say the goal is to energize and empower artists to bring their craft closer to the center of their own communities.
The event will conclude with the governor’s annual arts award ceremony, which will be televised for the first time.
