ATHENS, Ohio (AP) _ Nazr Mohammed scored 15 points and Scott Padgett added 13 Tuesday night as No. 6 Kentucky beat Ohio University 95-58.

Kentucky (11-2), which dropped from No. 4 in the rankings after a loss to Louisville on Saturday, had no trouble with Ohio (2-8). The Wildcats pulled away in the second half with a 20-2 run that gave them a 76-44 lead with 9:05 left.

Jamal Magloire scored nine points during the run while Heshimu Evans had five. Kentucky pushed the lead to 91-51 on Magloire’s tip-in with 1:15 to play.

Ohio went just over six minutes without a field goal before getting a layup from Basra Faqhir with 8:41 remaining.

Magloire finished with 15 points, while Evans had 11 and Cameron Mills added 10.

Reserve Jim Peterson was 6-of-14 from 3-point range and finished with 21 points to lead the Bobcats, while Sanjay Adell added 13.

Ohio opened up a 4-0 lead before the Wildcats went into a zone press that forced six straight turnovers and contributed to a 20-3 Kentucky run.

Padgett scored all nine of his first-half points in the rally that was capped by Allen Edwards’ layup with 12:38 to go in the first half.

Kentucky added to lead over the next seven minutes as Evans and Mohammed each hit three shots, giving the Wildcats a 35-18 lead with 5:38 left.

Peterson hit four 3-pointers and Dustin Ford scored seven straight points to keep Ohio from being blown away in the first half.

Ohio, which has lost eight of its last nine games, had 24 turnovers against Kentucky’s pressure.
