Ayer Shirley Turns Itself into ‘Little Shop of Horrors’
AYER -- The Drama Club at Ayer Shirley High School’s production of the hilariously horrific “Little Shop of Horrors” is Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m., in the Laura S. Leavitt Auditorium, 141 Washington St., Ayer.
The production is directed by JulieAnn Govang with musical direction by Tim Ketterer. ASRHS students in the cast, crew and pit band include Samantha Abrams, Julia Alo, Dimitri Battle, Abigail Billings, Alexis Blackwell, Carolyn Cooper, Vanessa Delk, Tommy Dentino, Chris Govang, Eric Gravelle, Cailidh Houde, Natalie Kalgren, Katie Kilcommins, Ryan Kilcommins, Anthony Mavilia, Will MacDonald, Ashleigh Oestreicher, Olivia Oestreicher, Mason Pyatt, Cat Quinty, Deran Quinty, Camila Ramos Mercado, Claudia Ramos Mercado, Emily Russell, Zoe Saldana, Owen Salter, Dante Sequeira, Brandon Soto, Cassidy Wenstrom and Noelle Wood, as well as ASRHS staff members Lolly Capasso and Jerry Maillet.
Two local businesses -- Pinard’s Florist and Garden Supply of Ayer -- have offered their support the Drama Club this year, as well as Alo Seamless Gutters of Littleton, the spring musical sponsor.
Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for students and senior citizens, and are available at 978-772-2545 or www.jacneed.com/ASYD/AyerShirleyDrama.htm , as well as at the door before each performance. All moms are invited to watch the show free on Mother’s Day, May 12, and senior citizens will receive free refreshments at the Saturday matinee.
