7-month-old girl injured in fire dies at hospital

November 7, 2018

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a 7-month-old girl injured in a central Pennsylvania house fire over the weekend has died of her injuries.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim says Reese Frock died at Lehigh Valley Hospital shortly before 3 p.m. Monday.

Grim says Frock was killed by heat and smoke inhalation. The manner of death is pending completion of the fire marshal’s investigation.

Fire crews in Adams County were called to the Mount Pleasant Township blaze at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday. Flames that appeared to have been started in the garage were fanned by high winds and engulfed the home.

Officials said the girl was pulled from the second-floor back window of the home about 15 minutes after the call and was flown to a burn center. Two firefighters were also injured.
