Peckinpah’s Wife Palacios Dies
MEXICO CITY (AP) _ Begona Palacios, an actress who was the wife of the late film maverick Sam Peckinpah, is dead at age 58.
Mexico’s National Actors Association confirmed she died Wednesday, reportedly of a liver malfunction.
Palacios met Peckinpah while starring in B films in Hollywood in the early 1960s. She was best known in Mexico for action movies such as ``The Saint Against the Strangler,″ and ``The Saint Against the Ghost of the Strangler,″ both filmed in 1963.
Last year, she starred in the Mexican soap opera, ``La Chacala.″
Palacios is survived by their daughter, Maria Guadalupe Peckinpah Palacios. Palacios will be cremated and her ashes will be sent to Malibu, Calif., to be placed in a mausoleum with the remains of Peckinpah, who died in 1984.
